Providing Aid for Cancer Tumors

Al Amal Centre in Taiz, which has been working tirelessly to discover cures for cancer, was experiencing a long-term scarcity of medical supplies, which greatly hindered their service to those in need.

With the incorporation of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), IYCY was successful in gaining access to the city and delivering more than 1.5 tonnes of life-saving medicines and healthcare supplies to the institution in December 2015.

As an outcome, it was possible to give immediate assistance and satisfy the critical health needs of thousands of individuals in the neighbourhood. Over 5500 people were suffering from cancer tumours at the time and were given hope for treatment after getting much-needed supplies supplied by the IYCY.
