International Conference on Youth Peace and Violent Extremism

The International Conference on Youth, Peace, and Violent Extremism was held from the 30th of July to the 3rd of August 2018 at Hatten Place in Melaka as a follow-up to UN Security Council Resolution 2250, titled Plan of Action to Prevent Violent Extremism.


The conference brought together young leaders from around the world to exchange perspectives, experiences, and ideas, with an emphasis on the importance of the role of youth in influencing and furthering the UN action plan launched in 2015. The presence of values and the active participation of over 100 participants, including senior professionals and legal heads, brought the four-day event to a successful conclusion.
