International Conference on Youth, the Ocean, and Sustainable Development Goal 14

From the 1st to the 5th of July 2019, Melaka, Malaysia hosted the International Conference on Youth, the Ocean, and Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water). The intensive program concentrated on the continuous and escalating marine concerns affecting both marine life and the lives of people and other living beings.

The conference included in-depth talks and awareness activities on the role of plastics in pollution, their chain effects, and many potential solutions for reducing and eliminating mass devastation.

The five-day conference was a collaborative event of the World Youth Foundation (WYF), the International Youth Council (IYC), and the Young Environmental Forum, with over 100 young participants from around the world engaging in proactive discussions to seek solutions to the world's most critical, ongoing issue.
